Presentation and Receptions

Your participation in pre-recruiting events is optional. If you would like to reserve a complimentary classroom for an event, please call our office at least two months in advance. Our Recruitment Services team maintains a pre-recruiting events calendar and database to minimize conflicts with other recruiting companies and encourage good turnout for events. Catering

Catering for classroom events is available from a variety of vendors. Costs per person are approximately $5 or more, depending on the menu you select, with an additional delivery charge.

Event Locations

Special events are most often held in business school classrooms or the Lila B. Etter Alumni Center. If you have another campus location in mind, your McCombs Career Services Recruiting Consultant will be happy to assist you. Classrooms are available free of charge and after 5p.m. Classrooms are in great demand, so please contact us early to make reservations. Rooms at the Alumni Center are particularly difficult to schedule, and may be reserved by calling (512) 471-0789.

Audio-Visual Equipment

You may schedule media equipment for use in business school classrooms at no charge. Please notify us of your needs well in advance to ensure that equipment is available. The Alumni Center, (512) 471-0789, uses an off-campus contractor for equipment, and rental fees vary greatly. A VCR and monitor may be rented for about $175, and a projector and screen normally cost about $75.

Career Panels and Seminars

Lend your expertise by participating in a career panel or career development seminar. Your company’s representatives can promote your company’s culture and image while offering valuable knowledge and advice to our students. Etiquette Dinner

The etiquette dinner (BBA or MPA) provides a personal setting in which you may promote your company and establish relationships with future candidates. These events are always sold out, so please contact us as soon as possible if you would like to participate. Mock Interview Sessions

Mock interviews are a great way to build your company’s reputation and presence on campus. Representatives from your company interview students for “mock” positions, then provide the students with valuable feedback. In addition to helping you build your presence on campus, mock interviews help our students refine their interviewing skills.
