Volunteering at Career Expo

The Fall Career Expo will take place on

September 12, 2012

 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

The University of Texas at Austin RecSports Center

For Internships and Full Time Positions

Professional Dress is required!

Only business majors in The McCombs School of Business may attend!

  Volunteer registration will open about one week prior to expo, and will remain open until all spots are filled.

Volunteer Tasks

Volunteers will be responsible for at least one of the following tasks:

1. Unloading
- Help recruiters unload items from their car
- Take items/boxes to company booth
- Greet recruiters as they come

2. Booth
- Answer questions students or recruiters might have
- Assist recruiters for their convenience
- Direct students to specific booths

3. Registration
- Help register students coming into the Expo
- Help register Expo volunteers
- Keep registration orderly

4. Parking
- Help recruiters find parking
- Show them the way to the Expo
- Give them designated parking permits for entrance/exit

Volunteers will sign up for their preferred tasks at the mandatory training sessions.

• Must be committed, enthusiastic, and approachable
• Register online to sign up for up to two 1-hour shifts
• Attend one mandatory training session
• Assist recruiters in assigned section with snacks or drinks
• Clean and pick up trash around assigned section before shift is over
• Assist recruiters with questions and directions
• Manage the door, sign in and volunteer tables
• Help students with nametags
